Furniture — Cabinets & Wardrobes
A stadium-plan credenza in lacquered timber lattice over natural cane, under a single stone top.
The piece
The Lattice Cane Credenza sets an open cane field behind a lacquered timber grid, wrapped around a stadium plan so the piece has no back — it can stand against a wall or float in the middle of a room and read the same from every side.
Cane webbing does not like curves: woven on the flat, it buckles as soon as the frame bends. The grid is what solves it — each bay is a flat chord of the curve, so every cane panel is tensioned dead flat and the curvature is carried by the frame rather than the weave. The rails are solid timber, mitred and splined at every crossing, then finished in a closed-pore lacquer that holds a crisp arris against the open weave.
The top is a single slab with a bullnose edge, profiled to the same radii as the carcass so the stone overhang stays constant the whole way round. Interiors are ply-carcassed and dust-sealed behind the cane; doors run on concealed soft-close hinges.
Plan, radius, cane colour and stone are all specified per project. Lead time confirmed with the quotation.
