Furniture — Tables, Chairs & Sofas
A bent-rattan frame with caned back panels and a leather seat, built for residential and resort lounges.
The piece
The Loggia Cane Chair is a steam-bent rattan frame carrying six caned back panels in a pole-divided grid, with a single upholstered seat cushion dropped into the seat rail.
Every joint in the frame is a lashed binding rather than a fastener: the pole is bent to the curve, cut to length, then bound with split rattan peel that both clamps the joint and finishes it. There is no metal in the frame and no visible glue line — the binding pattern at each junction is set out so the wraps land symmetrically on both sides of the chair.
The back is divided into a grid of six so each caned panel is small enough to stay drum-tight in service; the dividing poles double as the stiffeners that keep a bent back from flattening under load. The seat is a sprung platform with a loose leather-faced cushion, so the cushion can be recovered on site without touching the frame.
Frame tone, cane colour and seat covering are specified per project. Lead time confirmed with the quotation.
